1. Philadelphia Eagles

Come on, is this even a question? Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave were already the top defensive tackle tandem, and the addition of Jordan Davis – plus the return of Milton for his second professional season – gives the Philadelphia Eagles by far the best defensive tackle unit in the NFC East and maybe in the NFL as a whole regardless of who the team opts to keep as their fifth tackle.

Factor in the presence of Brandon Graham, who can kick it inside on obvious passing downs, and the interior of the Eagles’ defense will be good in 2022 and for years to come after that.

Top performer: Javon Hargrave.

While Fletcher Cox and Jordan Davis get all of the hype – and rightfully so – for their statuses as the former and future face of the franchise, it was Javon Hargrave who made it to the Pro Bowl in 2021 and was arguably the team’s top front-seven defender for his fantastic abilities against both the run and the pass.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season and Jordan Davis breathing down his neck, expect a massive season from the 29-year-old as he auditions for a new contract either in South Philly or elsewhere.
