To say the Philadelphia Eagles are far from a contender would be a gross understatement at this point in time. After this latest loss against the Las Vegas Raiders, the team once again showed their true colors.

The play calling was once again dreadful, the quarterback was as bad as ever, and the defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed. The Derek Carr-led Raiders offense looked like the Peyton Manning Broncos, while the defense looked like the ’85 Bears.

What started as a season full of optimism has descended into a nightmarish series of events that is even darker than last season. The entire organization has been an extreme disappointment from top to bottom.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in need of a serious rebuild.

Thankfully, the team is blessed with three first-round picks. Not only do the birds have their own picks, which is currently sixth overall. They also have the Miami Dolphins’ (second overall) and the Colts’ (13th overall). A lot could change between now and the end of the season, but for now, it appears the Eagles will have three picks in the top 15 of the 2022 NFL draft.

While there’s little room for confidence in Howie Roseman (who will likely still be around), the opportunity for success is still there to be found for Philadelphia. With some very interesting names near the top of the board, this Eagles team could look very different in a positive way next season, in large part, thanks to the Miami Dolphins.
