With the potential to own three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft (thanks to the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts), Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles are going to have their hands full when it comes to who they settle on selecting. They project to have a fairly high pick themselves, and undoubtedly have a good number of roster holes that need to be filled moving forward.

While it may be just a tad early to start thinking about next year’s NFL Draft, why not take a quick glance at a few potential options – considering how many picks the Eagles expect to have.

A way too early look at 3 potential first-round prospects that the Philadelphia Eagles could look to draft in 2022:

More from Section 215

Derek Stingley Jr., LSU

The name that a majority of Philadelphia Eagles fans are going to be clamoring for next spring, LSU’s Derek Stingley Jr. projects to be the draft’s top cornerback prospect. He’s been on the national radar as early as 2019, and has already been compared to the likes of current LA Rams corner Jalen Ramsey.

Stingley recorded six interceptions and 15 passes defensed during his freshman season, and has the physical makeup of someone who should thrive in an outside corner role (6-1, 195lbs).

The Eagles desperately need a young CB on the roster to start grooming up behind Darius Slay, and Stingley could be the best corner prospect we see in quite some time. Even if the Eagles are selecting in the top-10 of next year’s draft, Stingley should be considered.
