Outside of a few key names (Steven Nelson, Richard Sherman), the 2021 NFL free agency period has largely come to a close. Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles made their big additions by way of Anthony Harris, Eric Wilson, and Ryan Kerrigan, and are unlikely to be adding any further notable talent (unless something changes on the Steven Nelson front).

With that in mind, there are still a good number of former Eagles players available to be signed out of free agency at the moment – and we all know the track record that Roseman has when it comes to bringing back former talent.

Here’s a quick look at the top five former Philadelphia Eagles still available to be signed via the free agent market.

Taking a look at the top 5 former Philadelphia Eagles still available to be signed via free agency:

Nickell Robey-Coleman, CB

A player who once referred to himself as the “Slot God,” Nickell Robey-Coleman had a downright miserable 2020 campaign with the Eagles. Asked to assume primary nickel corner duties over the likes of Avonte Maddox and Cre’Von LeBlanc, NRC was largely a liability when on the field.

More from Section 215

Teams routinely targeted him due to his smaller stature and declining athleticism, which only worsened the Philadelphia Eagles already established secondary problems.

With that said, teams around the league are always looking for added corner depth, and NRC has the makings of someone a GM could take a chance on as a backup slot option. He’s an experienced veteran who did have some previous success with the LA Rams, and would likely settle for a league minimum contract.

I wouldn’t expect the Eagles to hit up his phone anytime soon, though.
