Jalen Hurts

This one goes hand in hand with DeVonta Smith, as the two are largely reliant on each other for success in 2021. The Philadelphia Eagles newest QB-WR duo, Smith finishing the year as a top 100 player could see Jalen Hurts do the same.

Similar to Smith, the hype surrounding Hurts’ name has already reached a rather exceptional level. Local and national writers alike are expecting huge things from the second-year quarterback, despite operating within an organization that is genuinely not in the best shape from a roster standpoint.

However, if Hurts is able to rise to the occasion and establish himself as an above average QB during his first proper season as the Eagles starter, it could in turn see him sneak into the 90-100 range on the back-end of CBS’ list.

Guys like Joe Burrow, Kyler Murray, and Kirk Cousins currently round out the quarterbacks selected  in that range, for what it’s worth.

In my personal opinion, Hurts is fighting a pretty steep uphill battle this season. The O-Line is old and injury prone, the coaching staff is new and inexperienced, and the WR core is very young. However, if Hurts is able to overcome all those obstacles and churn out a 4,000+ yard season with a respectable QB:INT ratio, he’d probably be in consideration as a back-of-the-list candidate.
