The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot of needs at the moment – I don’t think that’s too much of a controversial statement.

Coming off a depressing 4-11-1 season, the Eagles weren’t able to do much in terms of upgrading their roster this past free agency period due to limited cap space. They brought in a few veterans on backloaded deals, but for the most part, every position group is still on the table when it comes to needing improvement

Set to select 11 times in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Eagles have five glaring holes that need to be filled:

5. EDGE

More from Section 215

A rather underrated position of need, the Eagles are looking noticeably thing at defensive end at the moment.

Derek Barnett is playing on the fifth-year option, Josh Sweat is set to be free agent next season, and Brandon Graham just turned 33 years old. Even with those three all on the roster in 2021, the team still has no real solidified DE4 following the departure of Vinny Curry.

The Philadelphia Eagles would be wise to boost up their pass rush.

While investing into the defensive line isn’t the most glamorous of tactics, it’s one that almost always ends up being the right call. The Eagles defense was extremely successful in 2017 due to their multiple waves of pass rushers, and the Buccaneers just recently took down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl employing a similarly built D-Line.

Even if the Eagles don’t go EDGE with their first-round pick, stabbing at the position on Day 2, or multiple times on Day 3, would be wise.
