Philadelphia Eagles: 3 *cheap* free agent WRs worth giving a contract
By David Esser
Money is tight this offseason, but the Philadelphia Eagles ultimately need to find a way to add some external talent during the NFL’s free agency period. By way of endlessly restructuring contracts, Howie Roseman and the Eagles should hopefully find themselves with a few million to spare this offseason.
One position that definitely needs some help, regardless of what happens in the draft, is that of wide receiver. The Eagles have debatably had the worst receiving corps in the league that last two seasons.
The Philadelphia Eagles need some depth at WR.
While they won’t be in the running for the likes of Kenny Golladay or JuJu Smith-Schuster, bringing in a veteran pass-catcher on a one-year deal should still be a priority:
Demarcus Robinson

2020 Team: Kansas City Chiefs
A player who the Eagles were pretty frequently linked to during last year’s offseason process, it’d make sense for Roseman and Co. to circle back on the five-year veteran.
Operating in a rotational role for the Chiefs over the last two seasons, Demarcus Robinson has experienced a good amount of success, and is likely ready for a more prominent role within an offense. He has 77 catches for 915 yards and seven touchdowns over the last two seasons, despite having to share targets with the likes of Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman, and Sammy Watkins.
Robinson has some serious deep speed to him, something that the Eagles still can’t seem to figure out despite the addition of multiple deep threats last offseason. Robinson’s 466 receiving yards would have ranked second amongst all Philadelphia WRs last season, and his experience winning a Super Bowl in 2020 would definitely add a solid veteran presence to an otherwise young and inexperienced WR room.
Throw in the fact that Robinson is still just 26 years old, and he’s a free agent that I’d be comfortable giving a multi-year deal to.
