The Philadelphia Eagles select…

WR. 70. player. 54. Pick Analysis. USC. Amon-Ra St. Brown. Scouting Report

Even with the addition of Pitts in the first round, the Philadelphia Eagles still need to snag themselves another pass-catching weapon during this year’s draft. The team hasn’t had a 1,000 yard receiver since way back in 2014, and their current roster options are pretty unappealing.

Jalen Reagor did not have a good rookie year, Greg Ward Jr. should probably be on the practice squad, John Hightower and Quez Watkins are complete question marks, and who even knows what Travis Fulgham is anymore.

St. Brown is 6-1, and is pretty balanced in terms of his route tree. He put up 1,000+ yards for the Trojans back in 2019, and could instantly fill in as a starter for the Eagles alongside Reagor.

Definitely some hints of “WR1 potential” to his game as well.

player. 54. LB. Jabril Cox. 84. LSU. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

With their second pick in the third round, I have the Eagles finally addressing that linebacker position. Similar to the cornerback situation, this is an area that has long gone overlooked by Howie Roseman and his front office.

Described as an “outstanding coverage linebacker,” Jabril Cox brings a certain skillset that was severely lacking in the Eagles LB room last year. No-one could keep up with tight ends in coverage, and that’s something that Cox excelled at in college.

At 6-3, 233lbs coming out of LSU, Cox would likely enter training camp as the Eagles LB1.
