A few weeks back, I took a look at some prospects who could be available for the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2021 Draft. With such an emphasis being placed on shedding salary and getting younger this offseason, hitting on picks outside of the top two rounds is crucial for Howie Roseman and company.

With Carson Wentz on his way to Indianapolis, the Philadelphia Eagles now have themselves two picks in the third round. Their own, and of course the Colts’.

Some Philadelphia Eagles draft targets to keep an eye on.

Assuming they keep both picks, the Eagles will be hoping to walk out of this year’s draft process with multiple future starters coming from their “Day 2” selections. With that in mind, here are three more prospects to keep an eye on in that ever important third round:

More from Section 215

Andre Cisco, S

A name that I’ve seen a lot of people start to generate some buzz around, safety Andre Cisco is the definition of a playmaker.

In just 24 games of action at Syracuse, he logged 13 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 14 passes defensed. He also recorded one defensive touchdown, for good measure.

While Rodney McLeod has provided the Eagles with some above average free safety play the last few seasons, he’s on his last legs. There’s no guarantee that he’ll be the same player coming off a second major knee surgery, and he turns 31 years old in June.

In Cisco, the Philadelphia Eagles get their free safety of the future while simultaneously adding a major playmaker to the secondary – something they’ve been lacking since 2017.
