Due to an irresponsibly mishandled cap situation, the Philadelphia Eagles roster heading into 2021 is noticeably bare. Not only are they missing a few key starting positions (like linebacker for example), but they’re also just lacking an overall sense of depth across the board.
Considering just how ravaged this team has been by injuries over the last couple of seasons, this is definitely concerning.
While spots like wide reciever, cornerback, and linebacker have been routinely mocked to the Eagles via the draft or free agency, there’s a whole long list of more underrated positions that also need addressing this offseason.
Here are the top five that come to mind:

Backup quarterback
Ahh yes, the infamous Philadelphia Eagles backup QB gig.
Assuming Carson Wentz will be traded in the coming weeks, the Eagles will be walking into the new league year with just one active quarterback on their roster – a second round sophomore who completed just 52% of his passes in 2020.
The Philadelphia Eagles have some underrated needs to address.
While there’s a genuine argument to be made that the Eagles should be looking for an entirely new starting quarterback in this year’s draft, the general consensus seems to be that Jalen Hurts will get at least one full season to prove his worth. If this is the case, Howie Roseman will still need to invest into a backup behind Hurts.
Drafting a low-risk QB in the later rounds makes the most amount of sense here, as the Eagles really don’t have the cap space to hunt a veteran arm via free agency.
