Seattle Seahawks

To most people, the Seattle Seahawks are a beacon of consistency. They continue to crack the postseason year after year, and Russell Wilson always has his name floating around the MVP conversation.

However, for a team that undeniably has a top-five quarterback in their possession, the results the last couple of seasons have been lackluster.

They haven’t been to a Super Bowl since 2014, and they haven’t actually won a Super Bowl since 2013.

With this in mind, Russell Wilson has stated to express some level of discontent over the last two seasons. He played hardball when it came to signing an extension last offseason, and then publicly complained about his offensive line following their Wild Card Round loss here in 2021. While Zach Ertz wouldn’t necessarily fix the Seahawks’ pass-blocking woes, he would give Russ another receiver to throw to, which might calm him down for another season or two.

Throw in the fact that the Seahawks interviewed Doug Pederson for their offensive coordinator job, and it’s clear that they’ve become fond of the Eagles offense over the years.

If they’ve been eyeing up Ertz for quite some time, now would be the perfect time to land him via a cheap-ish trade deal.
