Atlanta Falcons: Brian Hill, RB

The Atlanta Falcons have a couple of running backs set to hit free agency this offseason. Todd Gurley is the first that comes to mind from this team. Due to his seemingly declining play and injury caution, we’re going to skip out on the idea of bringing Gurley in.

Instead, we’ll focus on Brian Hill.

The former fifth-round pick from 2017 saw his role increase significantly as his career went on. In the beginning, he was low on the depth chart behind players like Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. After departures from both players, the Falcons brought in Gurley, where Hill would serve as RB2 for the team.

2020 was Hill’s best season by far. He had 100 carries for 465 rushing yards and a touchdown and also added 25 catches for 199 receiving yards. The best thing about Hill is that he doesn’t have a ton of miles already ran throughout his NFL career, as he only has 209 rush attempts and 38 receptions in four years.

The Falcons might want to upgrade from both Gurley and Hill this offseason and let them both find new teams. If this is the case, the Philadelphia Eagles should be in on Hill. They will need a solid RB2 to Miles Sanders, and Hill presents a great buy-low option for them.
