Three landing spots for Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz.

Barring a last second change of heart from Howie Roseman and company, Zach Ertz‘ time with the Philadelphia Eagles organization is all but over. He spent well over two hours hanging out on Lincoln Financial Field after the team’s Week 17 loss, and gave a heartfelt goodbye during his media availability on Monday.

Not exactly the actions of someone who expects to be on the team in 2021.

Ertz’ name was floated around in trade talks leading up to this year’s trade deadline, so a deal definitely feels imminent. With that in mind, there are three teams that stick out the most in terms of where Ertz could get dealt this offseason:

Baltimore Ravens

This may come as a bit of a surprise considering the fact that the Ravens already have Mark Andrews, but Baltimore was one of two teams who were reportedly pursuing Ertz pretty hard at the trade deadline (the other being the Packers). The Ravens rely pretty heavily on 12 personnel (two TE sets), so adding Ertz alongside Andrews could see them elevated to that of a yearly Super Bowl contender.

The Ravens have plenty of cap space to work with in 2021, and their general manager has become notorious for swinging favorable “win now” moves in recent offseasons. The Ravens have acquired the likes of Marcus Peters, Yannick Ngakoue, and Calais Campbell via trade over the last two years, making them a prime candidate to give up a draft pick for someone like Ertz.

Depending how their postseason plays out, an offensive trio of Lamar Jackson, Andrews, and Ertz could be something Baltimore looks to construct moving forward.
