Let Dallas beat themselves.

The Philadelphia Eagles need to not overcomplicate things this weekend – the Cowboys are a very bad football team, and they make an absurd amount of mistakes.

The Cowboys are currently leading the NFL in fumbles lost (13), and they’ve thrown an additional 11 interceptions (12th most). The team is undisciplined, and multiple reports have leaked in regards to some of the veterans not working hard for head coach Mike McCarthy. While they’ve won their last two games, it feels like the Cowboys somewhat gave up on the season once Dak Prescott went down. Amari Cooper hasn’t been his usual self, Ezekiel Elliott has been a turnover machine, and the O-Line can’t stay on the field to save their lives.

Like the Cowboys, the Eagles aren’t a good football team. However, if they really want to win this Sunday – securing the yearly sweep over Dallas – they have to simply sit back and let the Andy Dalton led Cowboys shoot themselves in the foot.

The Eagles have proved to be far less turnover prone with Hurts under center, so that inherently helps. However, Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz both need to make a conscious effort to not overcomplicate things. The Cowboys have five wins and are on their backup QB – just let them beat themselves.
