Putting together a wish-list for the Philadelphia Phillies offseason.

The holiday season is fully upon us, and December 25th is officially here. First and foremost, a huge Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it! I hope you all are staying safe and healthy, and that your Xmas goes better than the Philadelphia Phillies 2020 season did!

In all seriousness, the Phils obviously have some serious work to do this winter, regardless of if it’s the holiday season or not. I hope Dave Dombrowski and Sam Fuld have a good day off, but afterwards they need to get back on the phones and work to bring some talent to the ball-club.

With that in mind, I decided to build my “perfect Phillies Christmas wishlist” for this year’s offseason. I’ll be factoring in money/payroll a bit when it comes to my list, but ultimately speaking it’s a wishlist. Always gotta ask for big stuff even if you don’t think you’ll actually get it.

Onto the list!

Re-sign J.T. Realmuto.

Item number one on my list goes without saying: the Philadelphia Phillies absolutely need to find room in their budget to get J.T. Realmuto back on the roster.

With the Mets and Astros both out of the running for a catcher, the market is actually lining up pretty favorably for the Phillies.

Dombrowski reportedly has a deal on the table for Realmuto and his camp, now it’s just about finding a middle ground between the two sides to make this return happen. Having Realmuto end his career as a Phillie is priority #1.
