It’s mock draft SZN for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Following the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Cardinals this past weekend, they now have an 8% chance of making the playoffs.

Obviously, considering the state of the NFC East, the Eagles could still totally sneak their way into a division title. Washington, Dallas, and New York are all in shambles, and the Eagles have undoubtedly been delivered a spark via rookie QB Jalen Hurts.

However, at some point, Philly’s gotta give up on the playoff dream, and start looking ahead to the NFL draft.

More from Section 215

The Eagles have nine picks in the 2021 NFL Draft at the moment, and are currently set to select in the top ten. The team has a ton of holes to fill, so it’s going to be a pretty important for them to land multiple young difference makers.

Disclaimers: Before we kick off the mock draft, I need to lay out a few “disclaimers” in terms of how I’m making decisions. First and foremost, I’m making the assumption that Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Malik Jackson, and Marquise Goodwin will all be released for cap purposes. I’m also going to assume that both Zach Ertz and Carson Wentz will be traded in the offseason, but I’m not going to add in any extra draft picks since it’s impossible to project what those deals will look like.

Additionally, I’m using thedraftnetwork.com for the mock draft; they do a pretty solid job in terms of projecting draft slots based on team need and player evaluation.

Anyways, let’s get into the mock!
