Some predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles game this weekend.

The Philadelphia Eagles play a football game this Sunday! And believe it or not, it has some pretty large significance in regards to the NFC playoff picture. Despite Philly having just four wins at this point in time, they’re still very much in contention for the NFC East crown (which is completely ridiculous by the way).

The Eagles – led by rookie QB Jalen Hurts – will be taking on Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and the exciting Arizona Cardinals.

Philadelphia is pretty universally considered the underdog in this matchup, but they did just knock off the New Orleans Saints, so you never know when it comes to Doug Pederson and his December runs.

Here are three predictions for the Sunday afternoon showdown:

DeAndre Hopkins goes OFF.

Darius Slay going up against DeAndre Hopkins was one of the more anticipated matchups this season, and we all won’t get to see it this weekend.

Slay suffered a concussion last week against the Saints, and failed to pass through the NFL’s concussion protocol this week. He didn’t travel with the team, leaving the Eagles desperately thin at cornerback.

Avonte Maddox and Cre’Von LeBlanc are both out as well, meaning guys like Michael Jacquet, Kevon Seymour, and Jameson Houston will be relied upon to handle one of the NFL’s best overall receivers.

I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t know who any of those guys are, as I’m sure DHop and the Cardinals don’t know who they are either. Expect a lot of plays to be called for #10 on the outside.
