Pittsburgh Steelers

For what it’s worth, the Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be in a really good spot. Back-to-back losses aside for the moment, the team is 11-2, and they have one of the best defenses in all of football.

Guys like TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Joe Haden have each solidified themselves as some of the best players at their respective positions, and it shows come Sunday.

With that said, the Steelers have a bit of a dilemma at the quarterback position. Ben Roethlisberger isn’t getting any younger, and the likes of Mason Rudolph and/or Devlin Hodges clearly aren’t the longterm answer. With a low pick for 2021 guaranteed at this point in time, it’ll also be challenging for them to land a high-profile arm in the draft.

Similar to that of the Colts, the Steelers are very much in a “win now” state of mind. They clearly have the pieces on defense to compete for a championship, and their offense has performed good enough – even with a near 40 year old operating the QB position.

Pittsburgh is another team that traded away their first-round pick for a proven commodity last season, potentially signaling their own respective willingness to do it again in the near future.
