Three bold predictions for Philadelphia Eagles v New York Giants.

After a very long bye week, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to return to action this upcoming weekend against the New York Giants. Despite their lowly 2-7 record, the Giants have been surging as of late. They beat Washington handily last week, and played the Tom Brady led Buccaneers down to the wire in Week 8.

Favored by less than a touchdown, it projects to be a fairly competitive game for the 3-4-1 Eagles.

With that in mind, here are three predictions that I have for the NFC East matchup:

The offense finally gets right.

For pretty much the entirety of the 2020 season, the Philadelphia Eagles offense has looked like a complete disaster. Carson Wentz is having the worst year of his career, the offensive line has been in shambles, and multiple starters at WR, RB, and TE have gotten injured.

However, with the offense finally starting to get healthy again, the time for them to get back into a rhythm appears to be now.

Guys like Lane Johnson, Miles Sanders, Alshon Jeffery, and Dallas Goedert likely benefited a ton from the extra week off, and Doug Pederson definitely needed some time off to re-assess the offensive playbook. The Giants aren’t horrible defensively (they’re actually fairly decent), but they should in theory matchup poorly against an all of the sudden very healthy Philly offense.

First-round pick Jalen Reagor should be in line for the “breakout” game of his career as well, considering all the struggles New York has had at their CB2 position this year.
