Jordan Howard, RB

Current Team: Miami Dolphins

I don’t love the idea of bringing back Jordan Howard (it feels too much like getting back together with an ex-girlfriend), but I felt obligated to include it on this list due to how likely a potential trade could be.

Not only have the Miami Dolphins completely banished Howard from their game-plan, but the Philadelphia Eagles genuinely have a glaring hole at their RB2 position. Miles Sanders has missed 3/8 games thus far, and while Boston Scott looked good against the Giants and Cowboys, he’s not your stereotypical go-to backup.

The Eagles have also really struggled offensively around the goal line this season, which is something that Howard specializes in.

Howard missed the entire second half of 2019 with a mysterious shoulder injury, got beat out by Myles Gaskins at Dolphins training camp, and has only seen 18 total carries here in 2020. I don’t think he’s 100% healthy, and his $5 million cap number for 2021 is a huge overpay (all things considered).

Nevertheless, he could likely be acquired for a seventh-round pick, and he would definitely fill a team need. Worst case scenario; he’s a far superior RB3 than whatever the heck Corey Clement is at the moment.
