Who should the Philadelphia Eagles be kicking the tires on prior to today’s 4PM trade deadline?

Believe it or not, we are already at the 2020 NFL trade deadline. Eight weeks of football have absolutely flown by, and now there are mere hours left for teams to make moves. At 3-4-1, the Philadelphia Eagles are in one of the more strange spots around the league.

They look absolutely miserable on the field, and should definitely be sellers. However, they also sit in first place and are riding back-to-back division wins, and should totally look to add talent in order to make the playoffs.

We might end up seeing a mix of both from Howie Roseman prior to this afternoon’s deadline, as the team has been linked to both “buying” and “selling”.

If Roseman plans to add talent today, here are five names worth keeping an eye on:

JC Jackson, CB

Current Team: New England Patriots

While everyone is focused on a potential deal involving standout New England corner Stpehon Gilmore, the Eagles would be wise to target a different DB on the Patriots roster.

Playing in his third season as an NFL corner, JC Jackson has established himself as one of the more exciting young corners in all of football. He’s just 25 years old, and he’s already recorded 12 career interceptions (4 this season).

The Patriots are likely about to enter “fire sale” mode when it comes to their roster, as they did in fact completely bottom out following Tom Brady’s departure. Jackson is a restricted free agent after this season, which makes his contract situation a tad murky, but he’s definitely a player worth a multi-year extension from the Eagles’ perspective.

Outside of Darius Slay, the Philadelphia Eagles really have absolutely nothing going for them at corner currently. Jackson solves that problem.
