Miami Dolphins

For the first time in what feels like forever, the Miami Dolphins may actually be “buyers” heading into this year’s trade deadline. After gutting the team during last year’s offseason, the Chris Grier led Dolphins have made an astoundingly rapid turnaround.

They’re 3-3, and their first round quarterback has yet to even start a game. Things are 100% trending up in Miami.

With that in mind, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dolphins seem to constantly be sharing players.

The Dolphins signed both Jordan Howard and Kamu Gruiger-Hill in free agency, they claimed Mack Hollins off waivers last season, they tried to poach Sua Opeta off the practice squad (Philly elevated him to retain his services), both teams were in on FA corner Byron Jones, and the two organizations obviously swapped Jay Ajayi back in 2017.

The two front offices clearly have similar scouting models, and that could potentially mean the Dolphins have a high opinion of Will Parks as well.

Depending how their Week 8 matchup with the Rams goes this Sunday, Dolphins ownership could view this year as a time to crack the postseason. The expanded playoff format helps them a lot, and their division is Tom Brady-less for the first time in well over a decade.

If they’re looking for a cheap depth upgrade at safety to help vault them into the Wild Card, Parks is the guy.
