Philadelphia Eagles: 10 potential trades to make before the deadline
By David Esser
Trading for literally anyone on the Jets.
At 0-7, the New York Jets are in full on “fire sale” mode at the moment. They’ve already moved on from a handful of their key veterans, and it doesn’t sound like they’ll be stopping there. Former first-round pick Quinnen Williams was reportedly being made available via trade, however that rumor was *kinda* debunked (the Jets are at least listening to calls).
The Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets obviously have an unique connection, as former Howie Roseman disciple Joe Douglas is now the current Jets general manager. He’s been quite active since taking on the job, as it looks like wants to rebuild the team from the ground up.
The Jets don’t have a lot on their roster in terms of game-changing talent, but they definitely possess a few expendable players who could come in and help an Eagles team that’s treading water at the moment.
Blake Cashman, Avery Williamson, Brian Poole, and maybe even Jamison Crowder are all names that could come in and instantly start for Philadelphia. While the Douglas-Roseman connection hasn’t helped the Eagles out quite yet, now would be the perfect time for that former relationship to prove its worth.
