I don’t want the Eagles to have to play Baltimore.

The Philadelphia Eagles actually have a couple of “get right” games up ahead in their schedule with the Giants and the Cowboys in Weeks 7-9, but they have to get through Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens first.

If we’re all being completely honest, none of us want to watch this game, but we’ll all undoubtedly tune in as the former #1 seed Ravens likely whoop up on this struggling Eagles team. Lane Johnson could finally miss some extended time as he was carted off due to his lingering ankle issue, and there’s just no scenario in this universe where the Philly LBs can keep up with Lamar and the Ravens running attack.

The Eagles have been known to rise to the occasion in the past, and battle back against all odds, but a 1-4-1 start to the year is a reallyyy tough hole to climb out of, even with the NFC East being the worst division in all of football.

With the trade deadline now less than three weeks away, it may simply be in the Eagles best interest to start shopping some of their older veterans.

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to get some “reinforcements” heading into next week in way of injured players returning to action, however, it’s hard to imagine they’ll make too much of an impact. I think I speak for everyone when I say I’d rather watch Fulgham start next week instead of Alshon Jeffery or DeSean Jackson.
