Pass rush #1 vs pass rush #2.

As mentioned previously, the Steelers currently have the second most sacks forced in the entire NFL at the moment. Can you guess who #1 is?

If you picked the Philadelphia Eagles, then congrats, you win something! But yes, the Eagles defensive line and the Steelers defensive line are currently the two best in the league at the moment. Both employ extremely deep pass rushing units, and both have been getting after opposing quarterbacks in a variety of different ways.

The Steelers likely have the advantage heading into the matchup, seeing as Philly is still dealing with an insane amount of injuries to their O-Line. Jordan Mailata looked good in his starting debut at LT on Sunday, but he’s far from a solidified product yet.

Superstar Steelers DE TJ Watt actually missed practice on Thursday due to a mysterious knee injury, so that’s definitely something to keep an eye on. However, with or without Watt, the Steelers pass rush is a force to be reckoned with.

On Philly’s side, recently signed DT Javon Hargrave will be going up against his former team on Sunday, so maybe he shows up with an added level of intensity.
