The Philadelphia Eagles lose 37-19, fall to 0-2 on the season.

Despite plenty of individuals predicting a “bounce back” type of performance for the Philadelphia Eagles here in Week 2, the team once again fell flat when 1:00 PM finally came rolling around. Losing by a score of 37-19 to the Los Angeles Rams, the Eagles now sit at 0-2, their worst start to a season since 2015.

The Eagles struggled in a variety of areas, having less than ideal performances on both the offensive and the defensive side of the ball. The Philly offense turned the ball over three times (Miles Sanders fumble, 2 Carson Wentz‘ interceptions), and the defense allowed an absurd total of 191 Rams rushing yards.

There were a few brights spots, like Sanders rushing for 95 yards and DeSean Jackson getting back involved in the offense (6 receptions), but for the most part this was a pretty uninspiring loss.

A lot of the problems that the Eagles saw pop up in Week 1 carried right on over into Week 2, and it cost them in a big way against a far superior LA Rams team.

The Eagles pass rush barely got to Jared Goff, Sean McVay thoroughly out-coached Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz, Philly’s linebackers and secondary looked out of their league against an exciting Rams offense, and a handful of self-imposed mistakes creeped up throughout the game.

Our beloved Eagles are now 2/2 when it comes to ugly losses, and it might not get too much better when looking ahead at the team’s playoff odds (more on that later). With all that said, here are three of the biggest takeaways from the birds’ Week 2 loss:
