Some last second predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles Week 1 game against Washington.

NFL football is finally back, and more importantly, Philadelphia Eagles football is finally back. After months and months of waiting, the birds will travel down to southern Maryland to kick off their 2020 season this afternoon.

While Washington may be going by a new name these days, and there won’t be your usual mob of Eagles fan down in Landover to take over their stadium, this is still an important first matchup to the season. The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to come out firing as they attempt to defend their divisional title, and the *Washington Football Team* is looking to begin their new era under Ron Rivera with a victory.

Usually, a Week 1 game against Washington is met with joy and rounds of applause from Philadelphia fans. However, this year’s opening day matchup has a little bit different of a tone to it. The Eagles struggled to get out to a fast start during last year’s Week 1 game against Washington, and Philly has already been completely ravaged by injuries this offseason

What is usually considered to be an “easy” matchup in most years, has now turned into a potential trap game for the Philadelphia Eagles. They have to be on their A game, otherwise it could be a very long first afternoon of football.

We’ve already looked at some of the key matchups to pay attention to during this afternoon’s game, now it’s time to take a glance at some last second predictions for the opening day battle.
