Midnight green looks great on the newest members of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Well, well, well, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is here Philadelphia Eagles fans: New jerseys are here.

With the freshest crop of Eagles players officially arriving at the NovaCare Center for quite possibly the strangest training camp of all time, social media lit up like a Christmas tree with a slew of mask photos, excerpts from the team’s media guide, and jersey photos, oh so many jersey photos.

Personally, I’m all about it.

Whether posted on the team’s official Instagram, or across the 80 players’ individual accounts, snapshots of players sporting shaggier hair cuts, unkempt facial hair, and stylish new digs were abound, giving fans a sneak peek of who will be wearing which numbers this fall.

Arguably the biggest free agency addition of the 2020 offseason, even though he was technically acquired via trade before signing an extension, Darius Slay opted to ditch his tried-and-true number 23 – currently held feverishly by Rodney McLeod – for the number 24, a fitting tribute for his favorite NBA player, Lower Marion’s Kobe Bryant. While it will be a tad unusual to see the number worn by a defender, as Jordan Howard wore number 24 in 2019, I imagine this one will rapidly become a fan favorite – not to mention a top seller from the pro shop.

If Slay highlighted the first segment of the offseason, Jalen Reagor‘s addition has to be the same for the NFL Draft. Easily the most polarizing addition in the draft – okay, second-most controversial behind Jalen Hurts (check his number 2 jersey out here) – Reagor snagged the lone jersey in the teens of the Eagles’ free agency class, with Jeremey Maclin’s old number 18. With Reagor now cross-training at all three of the Eagles’ receiver positions, it’s safe to say the former TCU Horned Frog’s development could have a huge effect on the team’s offensive efficiency this fall.

Fun fact, I too will be wearing the number 18 whilst watching the Eagles… on tv this fall. When you bang the table for his addition all pre-draft season long, you sorta have to join in on the party when he actually joins the team, right?

And last but not least, everyone’s favorite Philly native – and former Dallas Cowboys fanWill Parks. Like Slay, Parks opted to wear a number in the 20s that has long been worn by running backs in our fair city, but with literally every other number in the 20s already taken, I think we’ll let him go. For what it’s worth, 28 actually looks pretty good on Parks and could make it very easy to point him out while moonlighting as a quasi-weakside linebacker in the Eagles’ big nickel package this fall.

Next. Will Parks has the tools to replace Malcolm Jenkins. dark

Which of the Philadelphia Eagles’ new additions (and their jerseys) are you the most excited about? Are you all about K’Von Wallace picking up Chris Maragos’ mantle as a special teams ace while wearing his former number 42? Or what about Jalen Mills surrendering the number 31 to Nickell Robey-Coleman to try his hand at Ronald Darby’s old number 21? Let us know in the comments section below!
