Philadelphia Eagles’ speedster Marquise Goodwin remains insistent that he is faster than Tyreek Hill.

Newly acquired Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Marquise Goodwin really wants to race Tyreek Hill this offseason. More specifically he wants to race Hill because he thinks he will beat him.

Since being drafted, Hill has pretty much been considered the fastest players in the NFL. He was a track and field superstar in high school and he ran a blisteringly quick 4.25 40-yard dash at the combine. His consistent deep threat ability was one of the major reasons the Kansas City Chiefs were so successful in 2019, as he recorded 860 yards and seven touchdowns despite missing four games due to injury.

Hill was seen hanging out with former Eagles receiver Terrell Owens earlier this week, as the two linked up to work on some route running. At 46 years of age, T.O. actually looked quite impressive. However, Hill absolutely torched him when they decided to race against each other, beating him in a 100-yard dash despite allowing Owens to get a head start.

Goodwin has been alluding to the fact that he believes he’s actually the fastest player in the NFL all offseason long. About a week ago he jumped on Instagram live to talk about his speed being superior to Hill’s, and then this Wednesday he took to Twitter to talk a little bit of trash about HIll’s race with Owens.

While Goodwin did say that Hill was “fast af“, he also stated, “No way you beatin me with that form“.

Goodwin did run an official 4.27 40-yard dash at the 2013 combine, however he’s experienced quite a bit of injury struggles since then. He’s missed 12 total games the last two seasons, and ended up being traded away to Philly for not much in return.

Goodwin is one of the more interesting players on the Eagles roster heading into 2020. When healthy, there’s no denying that he’s genuinely one of the best deep threats in professional football. He put up 962 yards with San Francisco in 2017, and recorded 17.2 yards per reception.

Goodwin remains insistent that he’s the fastest player in the NFL, and while he would surely like to face off against Hill in a race, he’s got a different battle looming ahead of him at the moment. Training camp is set to start in a few days and he’s entering a team that still has some serious question marks at the receiver position. If he impresses in camp, he could very well earn himself a starting job for 2020.
