832. . Wide Receiver. Beavers . Isaiah Hodgins. 5. player

Isaiah Hodgins may be the polar opposite of Devin Duvernay, but he could be just as effective in the Philadelphia Eagles’ scheme as a Day 3 option.

Like Duvernay, Hodgins led his team in receiving yards, and recorded more than twice as many yards and catches as the team’s next-leading receiver, the fantastically named Champ Flemings.

However, unlike Duvernay, Hodgins did it as a big-bodied possession receiver across the middle of the field. Whether deployed on the outside, or on occasion, out of the slot, Hodgins served as Jake Luton‘s most reliable receiver, hauling in 86 catches for 1,171 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Oh yeah, and Hodgins did it all with only one dropped pass, less than first-round receivers like Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Tee Higgins.

Just for context, in 2019, the Eagles’ receiving corp caught 57 percent of the balls thrown their way, with 10 drops.

If Hodgins ran a 4.4 instead of a 4.61, he very well could be in the conversation with Mims, Reagor, and even Jefferson as the fourth-best wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft, but even still, Hodgins could provide value as a big-bodied option deployed out of the slot.

If a team wants an athletic deep threat to pair up with a JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward in 2021 and beyond, Hodgins isn’t the guy, but if the Eagles want another reliable pass catcher with fantastic hands and good body control, there isn’t a better Day 3 option who can come in from Day 1 and compete for snaps on the inside.
