5. Giants

Two weeks ago, the New York Giants were never even considered to be part of the conversation for the Eagles when it comes to the biggest threats in the NFC, yet here they are heading into Week 5 coming off another impressive win.

More from Section 215

Making the switch from Eli Manning to Daniel Jones instead of just starting the rookie quarterback right away resulted in the Giants seeing plenty of criticism at the time, but no one seems to be questioning the team anymore after the last two weeks.

One week after pulling off a thrilling comeback win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York came through with another big win against a familiar face in the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

All of a sudden, the Giants have the same 2-2 record as the Eagles, and only trail the Dallas Cowboys by one game in the NFC standings.

Does this mean New York is guaranteed to continue playing at a high level, and deserves to be part of the conversation for the NFC East title?

Since nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, and the Giants still have a long way to go, nothing is set in stone at the moment.

But if New York continues to play this well with Jones under center, it’s going to make the division race a lot more interesting.
