2. Landry Jones

Sooner or later, Landry Jones seems like he’s going to receiver another opportunity to play in the NFL, as it’s kind of crazy to think how the Oklahoma star is still without a home for the 2019 season.

After spending the first five years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jones signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the middle of last season before being released a few weeks later in the middle of November.

Take this into consideration with the fact that Jones signed with the Oakland Raiders this offseason, and cut almost two months later, it’s been a rough two years for the quarterback.

As bad as it sounds to say, Jones seemed like the kind of quarterback who would have to wait until preseason for someone to get hurt before signing with the team, which could very well be the case with the Eagles.

In comparison to Kessler, Jones seems like he would be the much better option for Philadelphia, so at least that’s one factor to consider if the Eagles end up changing their mind about backup quarterback options.

Things may not have worked out well for Jones in the NFL last season, but 2019 is a whole new year, and could certainly help him get back on track.
