5. What should Eagles expect from Hollins?

Mack Hollins was fortunate enough to accomplish the ultimate goal during his rookie campaign from the 2017 season by winning a Super Bowl during his first NFL season, although what to expect moving forward is a different story.

More from Section 215

While expectations weren’t super high for Hollins in 2017 after the young wideout hauled in 16 catches for 226 yards with a touchdown, there was hope that he would eventually develop into a reliable wideout for the passing game.

At this stage in his career, there’s still plenty of time for this to happen for Hollins, but also the wideout has a long battle ahead after missing all of last season as a result of a groin injury.

Not only did the acquisition of Jackson put additional pressure on Hollins, but also keep in mind that Philadelphia used one of their draft picks this year on J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.

Even if the argument can be made that Hollins could still be a valuable member on special teams, what kind of contributions he can make on offense is where the wideout will see the most pressure.

Depending on how things play out, Hollins could very well turn into the odd-man out in the passing game for the Eagles.
