3. Julius Randle

Back in 2014 when the Sixers were fortunate enough to have two picks in the top 10 of the draft, there was some speculation over the possibility of landing Julius Randle following a stellar, yet short, career at Kentucky.

Unfortunately, the opportunity was never there for Philadelphia since the Los Angeles Lakers managed to select Randle at No. 7, although they obviously made out well selecting Embiid four picks before.

Still, Randle always seemed like one of those players in which the Sixers always wondered what could have been, and now that he’s going to be entering free agency, maybe Philadelphia could end up being a surprise suitor.

Depending on what happens with Tobias Harris in the next few weeks, there’s a chance that Philadelphia could be looking to add another big man to the rotation in free agency to put them in better position for next season to compete.

With Randle coming off a career year with the New Orleans Pelicans by averaging 21.4 points per game to go along with 8.7 rebounds, just imagine the impact he could make with the Sixers.

Even more important, Randle has yet to participate in the postseason during his NBA career, meaning the forward’s preference in free agency could be joining a serious contender.
