4. Ricky Rubio

Due to the trade that sent Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz, it looks like Ricky Rubio will be looking for a new team to play for during the 2019-20 season the former Memphis Grizzlies star will move right into the starting role.

Even if the case can be made that Rubio would possibly consider returning to the Jazz with a reduced role, the guard is simply too talented not to be in the starting lineup, and plenty of teams could use his services.

With that being said, why on earth would the Sixers ever consider Rubio when Ben Simmons is around handling the starting duties at point guard?

Well, the one factor that makes Rubio an intriguing option is how successful Philadelphia looked at times in the postseason when Butler was running the point guard position during times in which Simmons was getting a rest.

After spending the last two years in Utah, Rubio clearly still has plenty of gas left in the old tank to make an impact for some team, and the Sixers should at least consider the possibility.

Of course, the preference would obviously be to have Butler return, but at least Rubio could end up being a surprise backup option.
