1. San Francisco 49ers

One can only imagine how different things would have been last season for the San Francisco 49ers if Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t suffer a torn ACL early on, but at least the quarterback is expected to be ready to go by the time Week 1 arrives.

More from Section 215

After heavily investing in Garoppolo for the future, the 49ers realize the importance of making sure he has the proper offense to work with. And while last year made it clear that San Francisco has plenty of young talent with potential, there’s always room for improvement.

Acquiring a reliable deep threat like Agholor would most likely result in an immediate boost on offense for San Francisco, all while helping Garoppolo ease his way back into being comfortable on offense.

The whole intention of bringing Garoppolo on board was to help the 49ers give the Los Angeles Rams a run for their money in the NFC West, and while this may still very well happen, San Francisco still has plenty of work before that happens.

Sooner or later, San Francisco will need to improve their passing game a little more if they’re going to have any chance of competing not just in the division, but the NFC in general.

Whether the 49ers would be willing to give Agholor a look, at this point, it certainly can’t hurt for Kyle Shanahan and company to at least consider the possibility.
