8 players Philadelphia Eagles could potentially re-sign during 2019 free agency

6. Golden Tate
During the regular season, the Eagles found themselves in need of help at the wide receiver position, and even though Golden Tate wasn’t going to solve all of their problems, the veteran still seemed capable of helping the team make another run at the playoffs.

Best part about the deal? All Philadelphia had to give up to acquire Tate was a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, meaning it was worth the risk since if things didn’t work out with the wideout, they wouldn’t feel as bad.
Things didn’t get off to the best start for Tate, although it’s not always easy to play catch up in a new system, but Tate made a strong enough case during his brief stint with the Eagles to earn consideration for a new deal.
At this point in his career, Tate is going to want to be part of a team with a legitimate shot at making a run for the Super Bowl, and if the market is small for the wideout, Philadelphia could be his best fit.
Of course, when taking into consideration some of the other areas the Eagles will be looking to spend money on, a return involving Tate would need to be at the right price. If this happens to be the case, Tate would most likely play much better than the final months of the 2018 season since he would have an entire offseason to work with Philadelphia on offense.
