Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck

Going into this season, there were a lot of questions surrounding quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. Andrew Luck had missed the entirety of the 2017 season, and there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding his long-term status with the Colts.

Those questions were amplified when the Colts started the season 1-5 and it looked like Luck’s shoulder injury was not healed. In a Week 3 loss to the Eagles, Indianapolis had to pull Luck for a hail mary play because he was not able to make the throw to the end zone.

All of those questions have since dissipated as the Colts proceeded to go 9-1 over their last ten games to finish the 10-6 and earning a postseason spot. It appears that Luck is back, and there are no more questions about his long-term status with Indianapolis.

At 29 years old, the first overall pick from the 2012 draft looks to be back as the face of the Colts franchise and appears to be on his way back up to the top of the league’s quarterback rankings. Luck and Colts head coach Frank Reich could form a strong 1-2 punch for the Colts for many years to come.

Luck was on the doorstep of the Super Bowl in 2014 but lost in the AFC Championship game. There is little doubt that Luck should be able to get back to that level if he keeps up the level of play we have seen down the stretch of the 2018 season.
