Prediction

So, for the last time this regular season, but hopefully not the last time this season, we predict who will win this game. A win puts the Eagles at 9-7 and could land them in the postseason. A loss and the Eagles finish the season at 8-8, an appropriate finish for a mostly mediocre season.

If the Eagles can win and finish 9-7, it would be an impressive record in a season where it seems like nothing went right. Adding a playoff berth to that would be the icing on the cake. But an Eagles win on Sunday should give fans a better taste about this team should they not make the playoffs.

The Eagles are a hot football teams right now, and they are the far more superior team in this matchup. Really, the only way Washington wins this game is if they come out with a lot more energy than the Eagles, which seems highly unlikely in this case.

Foles should come out and play at a high level once again in what could be his last start in an Eagles uniform. If it wasn’t for a few turnovers in these team’s previous matchup, then the Eagles win by a lot more than 15. If things go right for the Eagles, this game could be a blowout.

On defense, it is hard to imagine the Eagles letting Peterson run over them, and there is no way Johnson tears apart this defense. The Eagles defense has looked better these past two weeks, and this Sunday could be their best performance yet.

Next. Philadelphia Eagles: Mike Wallace’s return is too little, too late. dark

The Eagles will go into Washington and come out with a very important win to finish the season at 9-7. Then all eyes turn to Minnesota with the hopes of a Viking loss. If the Eagles can sneak into the playoffs, they can do a lot of damage.
