4. New Orleans Saints

Instead of the Eagles receiving some much-needed help from the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, Sean Payton’s squad came up short against the Dallas Cowboys, putting an end to their 10-game winning streak. Even more disappointing for the NFC South leaders, the Saints losing to the Cowboys means they not only fall to the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture, but also puts more pressure on the Eagles for Monday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

All season, New Orleans has been viewed as one of the most dangerous offenses in the league when looking at how little of trouble Drew Brees would have at putting up points on a weekly basis. But when it came to Thursday’s loss against Dallas, the future Hall of Fame quarterback just couldn’t figure out a way to score more than 10 points.

Losing to the Cowboys was beyond frustrating for numerous reasons since the Saints controlled their own destiny for the top seed in the conference. However, if New Orleans is looking to be positive over what happened in Week 13, at least the team still has a comfortable lead in the NFC South, as it’s only a matter of time before they lock the division up.
