6. Houston Texans

Without question, this was far from the most impressive performance by the Houston Texans during Sunday’s win over the Washington Redskins since they easily could have ended up losing, but at least that wasn’t the case. Deep down, the Texans know that Deshaun Watson isn’t always going to put together the best of performances on offense, and hopefully Sunday’s win over the Redskins can be a learning experience for the former Clemson star after he finished with two interceptions to go along with just one touchdown pass.

Whether it was the 101-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Justin Reid or simply the five sacks recorded throughout the contest, thank goodness Houston’s defense stepped up the way they did since the unit ended up being a huge difference maker. Many believed the Texans had the potential to be one of the top teams in the AFC early on when looking at all of the talent on both sides of the football, and seeing them win seven in a row has helped them emerge as the team to beat in the AFC South.

Of course, plenty could still happen from now until the end of December since teams like the Indianapolis Colts continue to emerge as surprise contenders in the AFC as well. After this tough win, here’s to hoping Watson bounces back during Monday Night Football when taking on the Tennessee Titans, who are battling for their playoff lives as well like the Colts after a tough Week 11 loss to their rivals.
