NFL Power Rankings, Week 10: Eagles upgrade at receiver during bye week
By Dan Parzych
2. Kansas City Chiefs
Once again, the Kansas City Chiefs showed just how dangerous of a team they can be on offense when looking at how little trouble they had putting up 37 points on the Cleveland Browns Sunday afternoon. From Kareem Hunt finding the end zone three times (one receiving) to Travis Kelce scoring twice on his own, it’s easy to see why Patrick Mahomes II is making things look easy at times during his first full year as the starter.
One of the reasons why Kansas City was so confident in replacing Alex Smith with Mahomes this early in his career was due to the weapons they were surrounding the youngster with on offense. Looking at what Mahomes has to work with, any quarterback would love to be part of a system like the Chiefs, and games like Sunday when he threw for 375 yards to go along with three touchdowns are the perfect reminder as to why.
Week after week, Kansas City seems to find a new way to make a strong case over being the top team to beat in the AFC, and one can only imagine how epic their showdown with the Los Angeles Rams is going to be in a few weeks. But before that, all of the focus for the Chiefs is on their next meeting against the Arizona Cardinals, which is almost as favorable as the Browns.
