3. New England Patriots

While the New England Patriots don’t technically play until after this power ranking is published, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the Buffalo Bills aren’t going to upset the world and pull out a W, even if it is on their home turf.

With Tom Brady playing up to his usual level of excellence, even at the tender age of 41, the Pats remain like the passage of time, a constant that remains the same regardless of how things change around them.

And now, with Josh ‘Flash’ Gordon on the roster following an amazing midseason trade with the Cleveland Browns, Brady, Bill Belichick, and company have their best outside target in decades to pair with Rob Gronkowski and rookie rusher Sony Michel on the offensive side of the ball.

The Pats offensive is humming like a finely tuned machine.

Averaging almost 40 points a night over the last month, it’s hard to even imagine another team in the AFC East finding a way to dethrone New England anytime soon, especially if they all continue to toe the line between mediocre and downright bad.

No, I don’t think the Patriots are going to be leaving the top of this power rankings anytime soon.
