After falling to 2-3 on the season on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles travel up to North Jersey to take on the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.

Through five weeks of the season, the Philadelphia Eagles of last year are nowhere to be found.  This team lost three games all of last year, and they have already lost three times through the season’s first five weeks. There are so many questions that need to be answered.

The Eagles won’t have a lot of time to answer those questions as they have to turn around and play Thursday night. They will take the two and a half hour trip up the turnpike to East Rutherford, where they will take on the New York Giants.

New York has had many problems of their own as they sit at 1-4 on the season. Most notably, the comments of Odell Beckham Jr. this past week, which were quickly refuted by Giants’ head coach Pat Shurmur.

More from Philadelphia Eagles

Speaking of Shurmur, this will be the first time he faces his former team as a head coach. He also faced the Eagles in the NFC Championship game last season as the Vikings‘ offensive coordinator. Shurmer also served as the interim head coach for the Eagles in the last game of the 2015 season after the firing of Chip Kelly.

This is practically a must-win game for the Eagles, as the defending Super Bowl champions are in danger of falling to 2-4 on the season. It is not an ideal situation for them, traveling on a short week, but they are going to have to battle through that and find a way to pull out a win on Thursday night.

To help prepare for Thursday’s game, let’s take a look at a preview of what to expect for Philadelphia and New York as the Eagles look to move to 3-3 on the season.
