2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Eagles lose tough battle of NFC Championship rematch

22. Dallas Cowboys
Sunday night was the perfect example of just how frustrating this season has been for Dak Prescott when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys failing to provide him with the necessary weapons to succeed in the wide receiver department. Sure, Prescott’s job is a little easier with one of the league’s top running backs in Ezekiel Elliott to rely on in the backfield, but the Cowboys quarterback is in desperate need of help at receiver.
Both of the interceptions thrown by Prescott against the Houston Texans weren’t his fault at all since they happened to be deflected by his intended receivers, and one can only imagine how different the outcome of the game would have been if it weren’t for little mistakes like this. Instead of improving to 3-2 on the year, Dallas missed out on another opportunity to make a better case for themselves in the NFC East standings.
A quarterback like Prescott can only do so much on his own without the proper support from his teammates on offense. The Cowboys knew it was going to take some time to adjust to playing without Dez Bryant and Jason Witten on offense, but watching them play this year on offense has been difficult at times, with Sunday night being the perfect example as to why.
