19. Seattle Seahawks

Just imagine the frustration and concern over the Seattle Seahawks if they allowed the Arizona Cardinals to defeat them on Sunday with Josh Rosen under center since the pressure was already on this team after last year. For the first time during the Russell Wilson era, the Seahawks failed to reach the playoffs last season, and the chances of them returning to being a top contender in the NFC is going to be far from an easy task when looking at the challenges ahead.

Dating back to last season, poor protection from the offensive line along with a lack of support in the ground game was a major issue for Seattle, and made Wilson’s job a lot more difficult than it needed to be. And while it was great to see the Seahawks only allow two sacks during their win over the Cardinals, it should also be noted that Mike Davis came up big in the ground game after rushing for 101 yards to go along with two scores.

With more performances like this, maybe there will be better hope for Seattle after all on offense. As for the defense, well let’s just say the loss of Earl Thomas was a crushing blow, and it will be interesting to see how the unit adjusts to playing without one of their stars over the next few weeks.
