20. Los Angeles Chargers

Remember last season when it took the Los Angeles Chargers until the fifth week just to earn their first win of the year? Los Angeles has lost two tough games against two teams that will most likely make the playoffs in the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams, meaning every win they can get is going to be extremely important.

Sunday’s game with the San Francisco 49ers may have been closer than it should have been, but at the end of the day, the most important factor is the Chargers held on for the win to improve their record to 2-2 on the season. Philip Rivers certainly deserves plenty of credit for tossing three touchdowns in this win, but once again, it’s Melvin Gordon that continues to be a major difference maker for this team on offense.

Seeing Gordon turn things around after a dreadful rookie year while working his way to being one of the top running backs in the league has been amazing for Los Angeles. And after watching him come through with another strong game against the 49ers’ defense, Gordon continues to make plenty of fantasy football owners quite happy that were smart enough to select him in their leagues.
