5. Jordan Matthews

In a decision that can only be labeled as the last thing anyone expected to see happen for the 2018 season, Jordan Matthews is back with the Eagles to help the team address their issues at wide receiver from all of the key injuries. Matthews won’t fix all of this team’s problems when looking at his numbers from last year, but also keep in mind just how much of an impact the wideout made early on his career with Philadelphia.

During each of his three years with the Eagles before the trade that sent him to the Buffalo Bills, Matthews was always one of the most targeted receivers in the passing game, and seeing him earn at least 103 targets each season will back that statement up. Not to mention, in each of his first two seasons in Philadelphia from 2014-15, Matthews happened to record eight touchdown catches, so the hope is he can return to that effective level.

Not to mention, Matthews has always been extremely close with Wentz, and is quite familiar with the kind of system Philadelphia runs on offense, meaning it shouldn’t be that hard for him to play catch up on Sunday. The Eagles would love nothing more than to see Matthews make an impact right away during his first game back with the team, and as crazy as it may sound to consider him a top fantasy football target, this is a move that could surprise a lot of fans.
