22. Washington Redskins

Just when it seemed like the Washington Redskins were going to be a potential sleeper contender in the NFC, the team failed to score a single touchdown during their home opener against the Indianapolis Colts. After taking down the Arizona Cardinals on the road in Week 1, a home meeting against the Colts seemed like a dream scenario for the Redskins to improve to 2-0 on the year.

Instead, Washington received a major wake up call during their 21-9 loss, a game in which they failed to score a single touchdown. Alex Smith knew he was going to be in for quite an adjustment this season when looking at the younger talent he would be working with when compared to the Kansas City Chiefs, but early signs point to this season potentially being rougher than expected.

Of course, there’s no reason to hit the panic button just yet since Smith has proven to be a winner for most of his career, and could easily figure out a way to turn things around over these next couple of weeks. If the Redskins thought the Colts were difficult to play, one can only imagine what Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers will have in store.
