2. Mike Wallace

Where on earth was Mike Wallace when Philadelphia needed him against the Falcons in the home opener? Between Jeffery being out along with his veteran experience, many believed that Wallace would be one of the players that benefitted the most on offense for the Eagles by finishing with numbers that most teams expect from No. 1 receivers.

Instead, Wallace’s regular-season debut with Philadelphia resulted in the wideout failing to haul in a single pass from Foles, which was beyond frustrating to see. Even if Wallace used his speed to take advantage of drawing a key pass interference penalty in the second half, this still doesn’t take away from how frustrating his overall performance was in Week 1, and hopefully the results will be much different when taking on the Buccaneers.

The whole reason why Philadelphia brought Wallace on board in the first place was due to the fact that over the last two seasons in Baltimore, the wideout showed he was still capable of making an impact on offense. Plus, with Wallace coming at a cheaper price than Torrey Smith, the Eagles were hoping this low-risk investment would see a higher payout, which will hopefully still happen over these next couple of weeks.
